This world music fusion project was inspired by Gino Foti's desire to explore the traditional depths of the Taittiriya Upanishad, one of the most important writings of ancient Indian thought. The mantras on this disc are sung in their traditional forms over an arrangement of Western-influenced ambient music. The juxtaposition brings the devotional mood of the mantras more clearly into focus on the disc, creating an environmental shift and attitude distinct within Gino Foti's releases.
